Grandchildren

Jeanie's oldest, Kristen, graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC with a BA in Music. While there she met Joel Hernandez, a Mexican, also a Music major. After they were married in Monterrey, Mexico, Joel got permission to spend three years in the US to prepare for his US citizenship. He found a job with a company that arranged for Mexican farm workers to legally do seasonal work in the US. Kristen and Joel rented a well maintained old farm house near Vass, NC which was close to his work.

Joel now has his US citizenship and they are now (2014) in Monterrey as missionaries.

Leah, Jeanie's second child, met Gustavo Popoca while playing piano at a Spanish Church. They are now merried with two children, Nathan and Annayse. Gustavo, known as Gus, is from Mexico but not a US Citizen. He came here illegally as a child with his parents and obtained amnesty and a Green Card during the Regan administration. He is an excellent father.

Leah has graduated from Sandhills Community College with an associatet degree in Radiology Technology. She finished top in her class with all “A”s.

Gus worked with David, Jeanie’s husband, in the electrical business. Now Gus has his electrical license and is in business for himself.

Leah and family nnow live in Aberdeen, NC, not far from West End where we live.

Jeanie’s third child, Stefan, got his Accounting degree from Bob Jones University. He met Heidi at BJU. Stefan and Heidi married and now have a son, Collin. Stefan has an accounting job in Findlay, OH

Jeanie’s forth child, Alyssa, Tried Bible College in WI but dropped out. Alyssa is unmarried with a child, Adren. She now works as Care Giver for an elderly couple and lives with her parents, David & Jeanie.

Jeanie’s fifth child, Cara, Graduated from Liberty Bible College in Lynchburg, VA. She is adventureius - as you can tell by the picture, she actually actually jumped from an airplane. Cara now (2014) works as a nanny for a militery family that has a "special needs" child.

Jeanie's sixth child, Nolan, who is married to Jessie. After attending Bob Jones Universerty in Greenville, SC has jpined the army. At this writting (2014), he is stationed in WA.
